Our team is ready to welcome you to our farm in Castle Douglas, where fresh produce, family fun, and countryside charm come together.
All the information you need to get here and enjoy your visit is below.
Opening Times
Ernespie Farm welcomes visitors all year round, Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Gelato Hut is open from 12noon until 5.00pm.
Please note that these times might occasionally change.
Getting Here
Located just off the A75 near Castle Douglas, Ernespie Farm is easily accessible by car. From the A75, take the first left at the roundabout upon entering Castle Douglas, and follow the signs to Ernespie Farm.
We offer electric car charging and a bike shed with lockers and a repair station.

Facilities
Ernespie Farm offers a range of facilities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit:
- Farmhouse Kitchen: Serving home-cooked meals, daily specials, and farmhouse favourites. Bookings are accepted for groups of 8 or more, afternoon teas, or those with special.
- Gift Shop: An Aladdin’s cave bursting with gems, perfect for picking up that special gift or memento of your visit.
- Gelato Hut: Offering a range of homemade gelato flavours.
- Garden Centre: Ernespie Plants offers a variety of plants, pots, and more to keep your garden well-stocked year-round.
- Indoor Soft Play and Outdoor Play Areas: Designed for children of all ages to enjoy.
- Accessible Facilities: Including parking, toilets, and level access paths to accommodate guests with different mobility needs. Please note: the tractor ride can not accommodate a wheelchair.
Age Suitability
Ernespie Farm offers fun for all ages—from babies bouncing around in the Soft Play area, toddlers and older children exploring various outdoor activities, to adults enjoying the peace of our woodland area.

- Outdoor Play (April–October, 10:00 am–5:00 pm):
- Under 1 year: Free
- Ages 1–3: £10
- Ages 4–16: £14
- Adults: £4
Note: Tractor ride times are subject to change and may be unavailable during silage time and term time.
- Soft Play (Daily, 10:00 am–5:00 pm):
- Ages 0–3: £6 (no charge for babies not using the Soft Play)
- Ages 4 and over: £9
- Adults: Free
Note: Open hours may vary during Christmas and New Year.
- Combo Ticket (April–October):
- Ages 0–3: £12.80
- Ages 4 and over: £18.40
Memberships
For frequent visitors, we offer annual and seasonal memberships:
- Annual Membership:
- Ages 0–3: £150 per child
- Ages 4 and over: £200 per child
- Additional children (siblings from the same family, purchased simultaneously): £80 per child
Benefits include unlimited access to Outdoor and Soft Play (subject to availability), discounted birthday parties, and event discounts.
- Seasonal Memberships:
- Winter (1st January–31st March): Unlimited Indoor Soft Play
- Spring (1st April–30th June): Unlimited Indoor Soft Play & Outdoor Play
- Summer (1st July–30th September): Unlimited Indoor Soft Play & Outdoor Play
- Autumn (1st October–31st December): Outdoor Play until 31st October, Unlimited Indoor Soft Play
